Strong governance isn't about standing still—it's about understanding what's changing around you, adapting with confidence and creating the right systems to support better decisions.

What keeps me passionate about the Vocational Education and Training sector is seeing organisations move beyond simply meeting compliance requirements. When compliance and governance are working well, providers can focus on what they do best—delivering quality education, improving people's lives through skills and training, and strengthening the industries and communities they serve. That's the ripple effect I love being part of.

My Experience

I specialise in RTO, CRICOS and Group Training Organisation (GTO) compliance, governance and audit readiness, with more than ten years' experience supporting education providers across Australia.

My career began within an RTO before expanding into consultancy, where I led a national team of compliance consultants and supported offshore teams, working with more than 50 providers each year.

Before entering vocational education, I spent over 25 years leading teams across other industries, managing business operations, people, customer service, sales, performance and financial sustainability.

That experience has given me an understanding that extends beyond compliance and governance alone. I appreciate the commercial, operational and leadership pressures providers face every day, while also understanding the regulatory expectations they must meet.

Over the years, I have supported organisations through initial registration, re-registration, CRICOS registration, GTO registration, state funding requirements, internal audits, compliance system reviews, governance implementation, regulatory responses, specialised documentation, legal compliance matters, risk management projects and staff capability development.

My Approach

Clients often tell me they value my practical approach. Rather than simply identifying compliance issues, I work alongside organisations to develop realistic, sustainable governance and compliance solutions that support long-term success.

Over many years working with providers, I've developed a strong understanding of how ASQA and state regulators approach regulation, what auditors look for, and what providers need to demonstrate under the Standards for RTOs 2025, National Code 2018 and GTO National Standards 2017.
